Matamoros route

A circular mountain hiking route that takes advantage of the old paths to discover a place of great natural interest, combined with traditional construction elements of the agricultural and livestock practices of the area. Along the route you can see various elements of dry stone like theold lime kilns, or salt shakers for livestock (Set of stones in which the salt needed by animals is deposited), cabins, terraces, etc. Special mention deserve “Els Tolls”, small characteristic pools of water that are at the bottom of the Barranco de la Valltorta, or the panoramic views that can be enjoyed in the natural viewpoints that are on the route. Leaving the Valltorta ravine, We enter the Font del Bosc area where we find a picnic area to take a short break and continue the route to the “Bassa de la Curiola” and the “Mas de la Moleta.” In the background we can see the emblematic mountain “Muntogordo”.
